Yoga is, at its core, a moving meditation. The practice of seated meditation assists us to cultivate conscious awareness of the present moment, without judgment, on purpose. The benefits of mindfulness meditation include: increased energy levels, decreased stress, reduction in cardiac-related illnesses, and improved sleep. My classes combine the moving meditation of yoga with the solitary inner exploration of mindfulness meditation.
